How I Make LinkedIn Carousels With Claude for $0 (Turned It Into a Skill)

What it does

  • One idea per slide, eight words max for a title
  • Every number on a slide needs a source
  • Two styles: clean, or a photo behind every slide
  • A PDF for LinkedIn, plus PNG slides for Instagram
  • Your colours and fonts, set once

Set it up in four steps

  1. Download the zip and unzip it.
  2. Put the linkedin-carousel folder in your skills folder (on Windows it's C:\Users\you\.claude\skills, on a Mac it's ~/.claude/skills).
  3. Restart Claude and say: make a LinkedIn carousel about this. Then paste your notes.
  4. Swap in your own colours and fonts at the top of template.html. You only do that once.

You need

  • Claude Code. It's in the Claude desktop app, in the Code tab.
  • Python 3, and Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  • An image tool, only if you want the photo style.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The skill is free and there's no email gate. It runs on the Claude plan you already have. The photo style also uses an image tool.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You copy one folder into your skills folder, then ask Claude for a carousel in plain English.

Can I change the design?

Yes. Change the colours and fonts at the top of the template once, and every carousel after that matches your brand.

Does it work for Instagram too?

Yes. Every carousel also comes out as PNG slides at 1080 by 1350, the portrait size Instagram uses.
